Advantages of being overweight

Everybody has a certain lifestyle that suits him, makes him comfortable and confident in this wonderful world called earth. As long as what you are doing isn’t wrong, makes you feel guilty or uncomfortable then you’re on the right track to a wonderful life. But there are people who like to impose their own lifestyle on you, this can be really vexing especially if what you are doing isn’t morally wrong or harmful to them in any away. Being overweight or fat isn’t a bad thing as long as you can walk around, carry out your activities like everybody else. Majority of humans in this world consider being overweight as a disease, they dislike it, they prefer to be skinny and light as opposed to being oversize and heavy. I don’t agree with them unless if you are so fat and obese to the extent that it prevents you from taking part in everyday activities, like walking, running, doing your laundry etc. I am actually against a situation where you are allowing yourself to be so obese that you can’t actually do anything else except crawl to the toilet, eat food, sit on the couch whole day complaining to whoever will listen about discrimination due to your body size. I like people who are overweight and active, just like my best friend, he is very large, but extremely active and healthy. He even runs faster than me.

                Being overweight has countless advantages which a lot of people tend to overlook and only concentrate on its negative aspect. Some people are just jealous because you eat what you want, drink what you like, while at the same you are happy with the way you are.

Intimidation

A person with a large frame and excessive fat can be very intimidating. Take very good advantage of that, when you are going out for some burger or fries, make sure you put on that sleeveless shirt of yours with some dark sun glasses, then knit your eyebrows. Having an especially large tattoo on you arms multiplies the intimidation exponentially. I assure you nobody will provoke you, every stranger you meet will be especially nice and extremely polite. This is simply because he is imagining the kind of serious damage he will sustain in case you land a good punch on his stomach or face. How many bones will be broken when you sit on top of him during the fight. Even security officers will be very polite when addressing you. They will adopt and emphasize the word sir and please in very polite manner in for every sentence or statement directed at you. Business owners will always try to attend to you first as you stand out from the usually crowd at their shops.

Popularity

This is one of the most important advantage that overweight people possessed but they always seem to neglect it. Some even see it as marginalization.  When your overweight all eyes are on you everywhere you go. The people staring at you are attracted to the parts of your body that appears different from theirs. So if you own a business you should take advantage of that. Get a set of clothes that has your business logo, contact address and location. The human brain is easily distracted, so when stare at you, they also see your advertisement. Sometimes people even ignore their surroundings when staring at you. Say hi, when you do, they will be at lost for words and try to say the first thing that comes to mind which is around that area which in this case is your business ads, this way you get a new customer. Potential customers will easily find you when they reach your business area and can’t seem to locate your shop, they just have mention your size.

Survival

This especially true in a situation where you are stuck in a collapsed tunnel or there is suddenly a crisis which lead to blockade and scarcity of food.so If you are overweight and pleasantly plump, your survival rate is extremely higher than the average human because your body has stored the excess energy required to maintain your bodily functions. That means you can search for food & survive longer than the ordinary human. In case of natural disasters like flood and tornadoes you don’t have to worry about being easily washed or blown away by the force of nature. You will always be exempted from being suspect in almost all crimes, this is because majority of criminals in the world try to look like everybody else in order to blend in with the crowd.

An overwieght dude can easily walk this route without getting swept away

Respect from Everybody

This is very common in a third class country like Nigeria, this may not be unconnected to the fact that most of the pleasantly chubby & overweight citizens are part of the wealthy and elite hierarchy of that society. If you are an overly plump dude or lady, and you dress well, people will be more easygoing and respectful towards you than the skinny wealthy stranger standing in the same place. This because they subconsciously feel that pressure of a wealthy person emanating from you. Easy entry into functions such as weddings, seminars, & naming ceremony. The waiters will always guide you to a nice sit, bring you the best delicacies. In all this you might not be even be an invited guest. To the average citizen you will always be Alhaji/Oga/Alangoro if you are a guy and Hajiya/madam if you are a lady. This are respectful terms giving only to the most elite & wealthy people in Nigeria. This practice is most especially common in the northern part of the country.

All of the advantages mentioned above will only work if you are confident, therefore learn to accept who you are as person, always stick to your lifestyle as long as you’re not doing anything wrong or criminal in nature. Besides it has been scientifically proven that overweight people are some of the nicest, honest & peace loving people on earth. But am very sure this study excludes almost 98% of the obese people in Nigeria who are part of the elite and political society.
